When you are dealing with strangers the best photography posing techniques are to make sure and ask them if they don't mind and if they don't then you can usually get some good pictures out of them. But sometimes things are moving quickly and you just have no choice but to take pictures and ask questions later. In the second case, you should make every effort to contact everyone involved, but of course this isn't always possible and can't be helped. If anyone ever does see your picture of them posted somewhere and asks you to take it down, you should do so immediately.
